Jet Propulsion Laboratory Open House

Once a year the Jet Propulsion Laboratory opens its doors to the public to get a glimpse of what's going on at the center. Per the usual we knew Miles would not have the patience to walk through the exhibits, but Luciana surprised us and was very curious and asked a lot of questions about the things she saw. Although it was incredibly crowded, it was a very well organized event for both kids and adults.
While Tony was explaining what planets are to Luciana, I was stuck explaining to Miles that the round things are planets NOT balls.

Checking out parts of the Mars Rover.

Goofing off is always better than the alternative....crying and whining.

Can't the great minds at NASA make some 3D glasses that are both inexpensive and stay put a little better?

The popcorn kept him contained for a good two minutes. All in all that day, he only broke one strip of caution tape to keep children from falling into a broken water fountain and knocked over two portable gates.
