Leona Valley is a small community with a population of around a thousand people, but during cherry season Southern California families flock into town to pick cherries and today we were one those families. We went to Big John's farm which is very toddler friendly because a lot of the cherries grow down low making it easier for kids to pick. We picked over six pounds of cherries so I'll spend the next couple of days pitting the cherries and figuring out what to bake with them.
