It's That Time of Year

Every year it starts to look a lot like Christmas in our house immediately following Thanksgiving. Keeping up with tradition, we got our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and for the first time, the kids decorated it completely by themselves. They really enjoyed unwrapping each ornament and I love that every ornament on our tree is made by one of us or bought as a souvenir from the different places we have visited over the years. We've already been listening to Christmas music, sipped hot cocoa and made one of many batches of Christmas cookies. I can't wait to make gingerbread houses with the kids, bake Tony's favorite chocolate crinkle cookies, spike some eggnog and have our floors be covered in glitter!
