Santa Ana Winds

What a night we had last night! Southern California is experiencing some fierce Santa Ana winds and the San Gabriel Valley was at the epicenter of it last night. The winds were blowing over 80 mph, old oak trees were falling left and right, cars were being crushed by falling trees and there were downed power lines everywhere. There was a complex adjacent to us that caught on fire from a downed power line and people were being forced to evacuate. Residents in our complex were voluntarily evacuating because the fire was so close and the wind was very unpredictable. We packed what we needed into our car just in case, but decided to stay put being we really have nowhere to go with no family around us. The winds are supposed to pick up again tonight, but hopefully it will be a lot calmer than last night. Here are some pictures that we captured in our immediate area this morning.

This is our neighborhood park....there is a playground buried in there somewhere.
